You don’t have to pay the 13% sales tax on home insurance in Ontario!
Some bad news, though…
You still have to pay tax. It’s not the full 13% HST; it’s 8%. A small break, but better than nothing, right? The way I look at it, the less money that you’re forced to give to the government, the better!
As always, if you’re looking for home insurance, call me for a quote. When I quote people, I include the full amount, including the tax. That way, you’ll know exactly how much the policy costs, the full amount.
