It kind of sucks when your home insurance company cancels your renewal because they say you’re too high of a risk, doesn’t it?
It does.
I’m here to try to make it a little easier for you. I’m a broker that insures homes for people that other insurance companies have deemed “high risk.” If this describes you, then call me. I can quote people that live anywhere in Ontario, Canada.
Now, what would cause someone to be labelled high risk? There are a bunch of different reasons, but the main one is claims. Most insurance companies will decline to insure you if you’ve had two or more claims in the last 5 years. I can quote you if you’ve had up to 5 claims. That’s all other things being equal. For example, the type and size of the claims might have to be taken into account.
Other things that might cause you to be considered too high of a risk include having prior policies cancelled due to non-payment or having more than one mortgage.
Probably the worst part of getting this label is how bad it makes you feel. Really? You don’t want to do business with me? Don’t worry, I won’t make you feel this way. I’ll give you a quote if I can and will try to explain your options if I can’t. So call.
It takes about 15 minutes to do a home insurance quote over the phone. If you live in Ontario and need a quote, I’d be happy to talk to you!
