We do both car insurance and home insurance policies here.
1-year car insurance policies are the norm. However, sometimes it’s beneficial to do a 6-month policy rather than a 1-year policy. If you have, say, a ticket expiring in the next few months, it might be better for you, financially, to set up a 6-month policy. That way, when the ticket clears from your record, it will renew in six months at a lower rate rather than in one year.
6-month policies
Not every insurance company offers 6-month car insurance policies. Some do, some don’t.
